What is a doula?

Doulas are trained to provide physical, emotional, psychological support to a birthing family (both mom and dad) and to help them navigate the pregnancy and birthing journey. Doulas provide education, comfort measures, physical support, and guidance from the minute they are hired until baby is here!

While doulas do not have to be certified, we believe in the importance of certification so that you don’t have this experience:

Why do I need a doula?

Research has shown improved outcomes with the use of a doula. According to Evidenced Based BIrth:

  • 39% decrease in the risk of Cesarean

  • 15% increase in the likelihood of a spontaneous vaginal birth

  • 10% decrease in the use of any medications for pain relief

  • 38% decrease in the baby’s risk of a low five minute Apgar score

  • 31% decrease in the risk of being dissatisfied with the birth experience;

What is the cost?

Our services are $2495 and include all prenatal, birth, and postpartum visits and care. We believe in customizing our families care and do not charge extra for additional services and needs that may arise.

You are able to use FSA and HSA funds to pay for these services.

Will insurance cover a doula and childbirth education?

You are more than welcome to submit an itemized bill to your insurance company; however, we do not bill insurances for you. As mentioned HSA and FSA funds can be used to pay for these services.
